The Heart of The Wellington: Employee Appreciation Done Right

The Wellington Senior Living Shows Appreciation to Its Dedicated Employees

Here at The Wellington Senior Living, we believe in the power of a chuckle. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s important to remember that laughter reduces stress, boosts morale, and enhances teamwork and creativity. Throughout the year, as Business Office Director, a part of my role is always to promote employee appreciation.

From social recognition and milestone awards to our weekly creative follow-ups (CFUs), we always take a moment for our hard-working team members.

This past year, my favorite CFU was celebrating our Culinary Team with a sweet treat from Culver’s. They all work so hard every day preparing food for residents and staff. Treating them to something edible they didn’t have to make was nice!

Creative Follow-Ups

These CFUs will continue throughout the year, but we are truly excited to celebrate Employee Appreciation Day on March 1st. Join us as we share laughter by creating a sense of camaraderie amongst our team, and continue with the power of a chuckle as we celebrate with our residents by creating a video for our staff. Our Resident Services Team is collaborating with me to video our residents sending sweet, thoughtful messages to our team members. In healthcare, our staff members wash their hands a lot throughout the day, so we are gifting each employee hand cream to ensure their hands stay nice and soft. Our staff is very food motivated. You can bet there will also be snack food and candy available for them!

These are just a few examples of the many wonderful ways The Wellington Senior Living shows appreciation to the team. We genuinely believe that when done right, employee recognition creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive. It promotes retention and makes us a great place to work, which, in turn, makes us a great place to live.
